What is a balance bike?
A balance bike is a pedal-free bike designed to teach young children how to balance and steer—without the need for training wheels. From as early as age 2, it helps kids develop coordination, confidence, and control.
Unlike bikes with training wheels, balance bikes let children ride using their own sense of balance. No crutches. No false confidence. Just two wheels, two feet, and the freedom to explore—even on uneven ground.
What’s the difference between a wooden and aluminum balance bike?
Both wooden and aluminum balance bikes are designed to help kids build balance, coordination, and confidence. They’re lightweight, durable, and weather-resistant—ideal for everyday riding.
The real difference comes down to fit and feel.
Our wooden balance bikes have a lower standover height, making them a great choice for smaller riders—with minimum inseams starting at 12 inches. Our aluminum models, like the Charger and Big Foot, start at 13 inches and offer more adjustability and off-road capability.
With five bikes in the range, there’s a model for every type of terrain—from smooth sidewalks to rugged trails. Just choose the one that fits your rider—and where they love to ride.
